The Queensland Student Hub Network was launched in 2017 and includes three hubs at Cairns, Gold Coast and Brisbane. The hubs are a joint funded project between Trade and Investment Queensland and local study clusters including Study Cairns and Study Gold Coast. Working together and sharing their knowledge and learnings, the hubs have developed support services, events and workshops aimed at supporting and connecting international students. From social activities to career counselling and specialised support for LGBTIQ students, the hubs are responding to student needs and feedback. Between them the three hubs have welcomed thousands of international students during their first year of operation; and are now expanding their services to include more outreach and mobile activity in their respective regions. This e-poster will highlight the operating model for the hubs. It will also highlight how collaboration and sharing amongst the hub network has led to better services and support for students across Queensland and highlight experiences from the perspective of student users.
